If you buy this book then you are pretty much admitting to yourself that you are a person who has some kind of sexual addiction. Most of this book is geared towards the person with the addiction, but it does address the co-dependent. She doesn't mince any words and addresses all kinds of addiction. I found this book exremely helpful and gave me much to think about. One thing to keep in mind if you have an addiction is that there is no simple bandaid on this problem and requires much effort towards healing and remaining healed. I love that a woman wrote it for women. Know this: MANY woman have some kind of addiction and don't know where to turn to for help. Society seems to associate addiction as a male problem, but that is simply NOT true.
A must read for any woman who has struggled with lust; very well written, packed full of insight, revelation, and understanding. One of the BEST books on female sexuality that I've read.
Found this book extremely insightful in delving inside the mind of a female sex addict. Gave my wife and I the tools we need for recovery for both the addict as well as for the partner of a sex addict. Was honest enough to describe the role played by the codependent, the family dynamics and describes the causes of both dysfunctions, and more importantly, the proven solutions.I enjoyed the writing style of the author who draws from her own experiences and describes in vivid and graphic detail unforgettable lessons to live by. I started off being very judgmental, hopeless and angry; and ended up becoming very sympathetic to this addiction and hopeful of a happy ending in our own marriage.
This book changed my life. I will buy 1 just to keep on hand to place in someone's hand who needs it. It took me over a year to finish this book since I read it as I could handle the tremendous information presented in it. I recommend this book for addicts and co addicts.
I was raised in a home that lived according Christian values and we went to church every week. My experience was both wonderful and flawed simultaneously. Issues such as women and sexuality were very poorly discussed and articulated in a way that lead to confusion for myself and other friends growing up in the church. This book is a valuable resource that integrates the complexity of sexual addiction with the hope of the Gospel in a way that is not trite, simplistic, or demeaning for that matter. I am very encouraged to have such an informative and healing resource on the topic of sexual addiction for women; I pray that this book is simply a beginning to more holistic conversations on women's sexuality in and out of the church.

This book answers questions about women and sexual addiction. Very helpful information if you are or counsel women who are trying to break free. It's about time the church broke out of their bush zone.
This related on every level to my understanding of the disease and more so to my journey. It is relieving to see someone else tell it because I feel less alone and ironically, knowing it isn’t so uncommon, as I’d like to believe, is comforting. There seems to be less shame when someone else can say “me tooâ€.
