Love this book. Gets straight to the point. The book is very small but everything that's in it will help you towards better essay writing. This is NOT to say that the techniques Mr. Racine teaches will definitely work for you, or that you'll magically become an expert after reading this book. PRACTICE MAKES IT PERFECT. But if you want some valuable tricks and tactics, do read it. It's very cheap on Kindle and you can finish reading it in 1hr the most. It's money and time well spent.
I bought this b/c it was cheap, while I was purchasing other materials to use studying for the Georgia Bar. I read this in about an hour, or less. It just tells you about the IRAC (Issue, Rule, Analysis, Conclusion) method of essay writing. If want more information on that, just Google it and find some free articles or blog posts. Really, do not purchase this "book".
This is a good book if you have been out of law school for awhile and need a good refresher in IRAC and how to focus your essay for the bar exam. Also it it helps you interpret what your essay graders are saying (commercial bar prep courses) when they assess your practice essays.
This book gives you a solid outline for how to attack a bar essay. I will definitely be using the information in it to improve my essays for the CA bar exam.
Most of the information in this book is intuitive, but it bears repeating. The book is very short and notes the proper procedures for writing proper essays.
This is a well presented step by step approach, without the needless fluff.

Matt Racine's book is short and to the point. He gets right to the strategy and does away with all the fluff. This book is easy to use as a play by play or week by week tool for bar prep.
